Where All Dreams Matter
The Dates Group Project NFP is a nonprofit organization that creates pathways to entrepreneurship for economically disadvantaged women throughout the Chicagoland area. We position our clients to succeed in business ownership and assist in securing funding.
Taking your ideas and providing every step you’ll need to walk away with a fully functioning, implemented ready-to-go business. This program is for start-ups. Participants in this program will have instruction and guidance with banking, credit, accounting and insurance needs. They will have their businesses registered, including EINs and operating agreements or bylaws. They will also receive business plans. We will automatically apply them for Minority and/or Women Certifications for federal contracts if eligible.
Participants in this program have a cause in mind to affect change for a particular community. This program will allow them to understand and implement board creation and nonprofit requirements for start-up. Participants will have guidance and instruction on compliant requirements for documents and will be given templates and valuable training materials. They will also have guidance and assistance with creating a 3-year Strategic Plan. They will automatically receive a Grant Search.
Evidence based on tax returns that participant earned less than $30,000 if single tax payer or $60,000 for family.
Completion of two prerequisites: (1) Business Concept Analysis and (2) 4-Part Financial Literacy Cohort
We’ve all heard the stories of billionaires who started out being impoverished. From Oprah Winfrey to Ralph Lauren to J.K. Rowling. Over and over, when given a chance, when given hope, we see that one’s economic standing is not an obstacle to one’s potential, creativity or ability to dream. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to pursue their dreams.
Business owners, bankers, accountants, grant writers, lending professionals and others: Share your talents and knowledge with participants who are eager to pursue their dreams. Help develop your community by promoting confidence and instilling hope in these goal seekers and dream chasers. Entrepreneurship helps strengthen the community. Citizens can have pride, unity and purpose when they are helping their community by earning a living providing goods and services their community needs or enjoys.
For marginalized individuals, corporate America has still not reached a fair and equitable pay rate. Oftentimes, there is a harder work effort required, high stress levels and a sense of bondage and frustration as these individuals see inconsistencies with promotions and pay. When trained properly and given the opportunity to thrive in business, they can actually earn according to their effort. We seek those who have a passion for the small business owner, the communities, and those who are economically disadvantaged.
We look forward to those who would like to train, teach, mentor, volunteer or seek membership on our Board of Directors. Please address all inquiries to [email protected].
